Getting on Track with ESG

Getting on Track with ESG

Welcome Back, Friends!

I’m so glad to be back and I have so much to share with you!

Traveling - it leaves you speechless, then turns into a storyteller. - Ibn Battuta.

I spent most of July traveling through Montana and Wyoming. Thankfully, our travel plans weren’t interrupted by flooding or fire out West. Mountain biking, fly fishing, zip lining, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, and hiking – just a few of my favorite things along with countless wildlife sightings. The beauty is truly breathtaking, and I highly recommend visiting!

Here are a few pictures from the Grand Tetons & Jackson Hole, MT.

I also want to recommend staying at Under Canvas (www.undercanvas.com) if you’re looking for unique outdoor living accommodations out West. I stayed at their Yellowstone location, and it was a highlight of my trip. Just make sure to bring warm layers of clothes for the cooler evenings!

I ended my travels visiting family in South Carolina and had an amazing educational experience visiting Duke Energy’s World of Energy at Oconee Nuclear Station. With three nuclear reactors, Oconee Nuclear Station is one of the US’s largest nuclear plants. Since 1973, it has generated more than 500 million megawatt-hours of electricity. Nuclear energy is a hot topic across the world right now and it was fascinating to see it up-close & first-hand. And I got to visit it with my amazing mother!

Upcoming LinkedIn Lives

Where do I start? This is one of the key ESG & Sustainability (“ESG/S”) questions I regularly receive from many well-intentioned business executives who honestly don’t know where  to start or how to begin building an ESG/S strategy for their business or organization. The world of ESG & Sustainability is overwhelming and there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach.

Please plan to join me for the upcoming LinkedIn Live Discussions built around the essential question: How to get started with ESG today?

After briefly sharing my thoughts, I’ll turn it over to the audience for questions and broader discussion for 30 minutes. You’re welcome to just listen or share!

Thursday, August 18th @10 am ET – Accountability. Who owns ESG?
Thursday, August 25th @10 am ET – Materiality. What’s important?

P.S. Did you hear about our recently launched ESG/S advisory curriculum? It’s a comprehensive advisory program focused on helping leaders and boards understand the dynamic ESG/S movement and build an ESG/S framework for their respective organizations. The program is especially relevant for small and medium-sized businesses looking to adopt an ESG/S framework but lack the time, resources, and finances to do it.
