SUSTAINABLE FASHION

Jennifer Faust serves as an International Advisor to the United Nations (“UN”) and International Trade Centre’s flagship program, the Ethical Fashion Initiative (EFI). She has worked to develop numerous new strategic initiatives including the creation of an impact investment fund and the establishment of a new UN foundation to support ethical and sustainable fashion and lifestyle. Jennifer also has advised the EFI’s portfolio of companies in Afghanistan by providing business, investment, and development support. Company sectors included fashion, food, and agriculture.

Jennifer worked on the funding, launch, and management of EFI’s business accelerator for emerging African fashion designers. Through masterclasses and one-on-one mentorship, she has advised the inaugural six selected designers on business planning and development. She enjoys serving as their trusted advisor for finance, fundraising and investment.

Additionally, Jennifer is a Board Member of Aruna Project, an athleisure impact-brand based in India and the United States. By providing empowerment through employment, the Aruna Project creates lifelong freedom marked by holistic care for victims of human trafficking. Their products are crafted in freedom by skilled Artisans who are finding their voice, experiencing independence, and growing with a sisterhood of others who have overcome. Human trafficking disproportionately affects women from deprived socio-economic communities. Aruna offers empowerment through employment for survivors, a model that proves 8 out of 10 women can experience sustained freedom, dignity, and independence. 100% of the profits directly impact freed Artisans.
