Happy New Year! May all your dreams & wishes come true in 2022!

The new year offers fresh starts and new opportunities! Faust Global Partners is focused on strategies for driving growth for a sustainable world. We create exciting solutions for our clients to stay current on the significant impact Sustainability and ESG are having on business and in our world. Our goal is to help organizations and individuals understand the dynamic nature of this rising movement – and then apply core principles to fuel sustained growth.

 

Defining ESG & Sustainability – “ESG/S”

These two terms are often used interchangeably. ESG stands for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), and is often used by investors to assess corporate behavior and to evaluate the future financial performance of businesses by measuring their sustainability. Meanwhile, Sustainability more broadly refers to the ability of something to maintain or ‘sustain’ itself over time and considers the meeting of our present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. It is the subtle balance between our environment, equity (human & social), and economy.

The concept of ESG/Sustainability became mainstream in 2020 due in large part to the COVID-19 pandemic. This was soon followed by a renewed focus on social justice. In 2021, driven by rising stakeholder demand, ESG/S saw a rapid increase of adoption by investors, businesses, boards, individuals, and governments with new mandates to transition toward sustainability and communicate progress.

Looking ahead to 2022 and beyond, the foundation has been laid for even more comprehensive adoption of ESG/S initiatives, reporting frameworks, investments, and financings. We see customers and employees, in particular the next generation, proactively seeking out employment, products and services that align with their sustainability values.
